The Unconventional Convention!
We were disappointed that the Great American Scrapbook Show wasn't returning to Chantilly this year, and we wanted to do something to recreate the excitement of a convention! We think we've done exactly that!!! Join us Friday, June 21 and Saturday, June 22 for an Unconventional Convention! We'll have free make-and-take projects from some of the best designers in the industry, booth shopping, grab bags for purchase ($75-$80 worth of stamping supplies for $20!!! - while supplies last), a popcorn machine AND best of all, you don't have to stand in line to pay admission! This event is absolutely FREE!
We will kick off the event on Friday, June 21 with SPECIAL HOURS of 10 - 8. The fabulous folks from Sweet n' Sassy (pictured above are design team members Mary Faus and Cathy McCauley as well as owner Korin Sutherland) will be here with their entire booth and a series of make-and-take and demo projects running throughout the entire day! Do you see those sample boards behind them??? They are bringing 24 of those boards - each board holds 20 card samples. Can you even DO THAT MATH???? Bring your camera and plan to be inspired by all of the ideas available! And pick up supplies to recreate your favorites!!!!
The "elves" will work their magic overnight to transform the classroom, because on Saturday, June 22, we'll be hosting the fine folks from JustRite Stamps! Darsie Bruno (pictured below), popular designer and creator of the blog Crafting with Darsie will be leading demos from 11-12 and again from 2-3 featuring JustRite stamps and coordinating Spellbinder dies, Gelatos and so much more! We'll also have a free make-and-take project for you to enjoy as well.
As if that weren't enough, we'll have author Mollie Cox Bryan here on Saturday from 1-5 for a book signing! Mollie is the author of Scrapbook of Secrets (which was nominated for an Agatha Award for the Best First Novel of 2012) and Scrapped (which has been nominated for a People's Choice Award from the Library of Virginia). The weekend promises to be a total blast, so plan to join us both days.

Guest Artist Heather Telford!
We had a great time being the FIRST STORE in the United States to host workshops with Penny Black blogger Heather Telford! She was a fabulous instructor, and she had nice things to say about her experience on her very popular blog, Bits & Pieces. We're hoping to have her back sometime this fall to lead a series of winter/Christmas workshops (she does amazing things with snowscapes!!!!) and we also have a HUGE Penny Black order coming in soon, including NEW STAMP images! Be sure to visit the What's New page on our web site to stay up with the lates arrivals!

What's New?
Speaking of "What's New", we have received our very first shipment of Pink Ink stamps! We were really sad to hear that one of our favorite colored pencil artists and friends, Karen Lockhart, was retiring. But then she shared the news that her images were being purchased by an incridible artist with her own flair for colored pencil work! And, sure enough, these images are just as lovely as we've come to expect - but with a twist. Don't you love the address label images? What a fun way to jazz up an envelope!!!! So, we'll still be able to stock the Lockhart images you've come to love, and we'll be adding new images regularly in the "Lockhart Style" with Pink Ink stamps!
We have also received the widely buzzed about Gelli Plates! Use these with your stencils to create amazing background textures! Our DEMO QUEEN Marilynn will be showing you all kinds of things you can do with them on Saturday, June 29 from 10:30 - 12:30. This event is also FREE!!!!
