COACH JAMES MURPHY GUIDES EXCELSIOR TO WINNING BASKETBALL SEASON

Excelsior's very own James Murphy was chosen as All State USA Junior National Coach for girls' basketball! This season, he coached the girls to our best record ever, 9-9. Also for the first time in Excelsior history, we were number one in our league!

 

In addition to having an All State Coach, Excelsior had two players participating in the big tourney. Sherry and Madison worked hard this season and were thrilled to have the opportunity to join players from across the state of Colorado to play in the Junior Nationals.

  EXCELSIOR YOUTH CENTER CELEBRATES 40TH ANNIVERSARY & RAISES OVER $305,000 AT TRIUMPHANT FACES GALA
                       

The mood was festive and the atmosphere electric as over 550 people helped celebrate Excelsior's 40th anniversary at the Hyatt Regency Convention Center.  We enjoyed the most successful fundraiser in our history, netting over $305,000 for the girls at Excelsior. 

 

Local sculptor and Life Caster, Dave Parvin teamed up with  Laura Edwards, the art teacher at Excelsior, and created a 40th Anniversary commemorative plaque featuring a silhouette that is a compilation of silhouettes of 40... (more)
