Next week on September 25, out-of-school time professionals are invited to join us for our Fall Professional Development Workshop in Davenport hosted by 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21CCLC)!

The day will begin with a Fiscal Year 2016 21CCLC Request for Applications (RFA) Technical Assistance Meeting, at 8:30 a.m. The technical assistance meeting is optional, open to all, and free. It is a chance to learn about this funding opportunity.

The literacy workshop will then follow, beginning at 10:00 am, and include a lunch plenary presentation by the Iowa Reading Research Center's Director, Deborah Reed, PhD. Two tracks of workshop sessions are included, with one track for program directors and another track for front-line staff. Registration for this event is required.

Workshop sessions include presentations by the United Way of Central Iowa's Enrichment Coaches, IPTV, and topics of leadership, budgeting, and more. Copies of the Vocabulary Games book by Robert Marzano and Lindsay Carleton will be provided, as well as electronic resources! To see the full draft of the agenda, click here.

At the end of the afternoon, you'll have the option of visiting Davenport's full-service school/out-of-school time program at 3:15 p.m. (optional).

The $15 fee for the workshop will cover lunch for the day.
