U.S. debt held by the public equals nearly 70 percent of GDP and is rapidly growing. Medicare and Social Security face nearly $40 trillion in long-term unfunded obligations - over $200,000 for every American. We cannot leave these burdens for our children and grandchildren. That's what Glenn Beck said on his morning radio show Thursday as he discussed AR-15s. But why? Is an AR-15 not an assault rifle? Does the "AR" in AR-15 not stand for "assault rifle"?
A man with an AR-15, which is a semi-automatic rifle allowed for civilian ownership.
It doesn't. In fact, it doesn't mean "automatic rifle" either, as many might think. AR actually stands for ArmaLite rifle, which is the company that first developed it in the 1950s.

 TEXAS TEACHING 'ALLAH IS THE ALMIGHTY GOD'
In the 70 percent of Texas public schools where a private curriculum has been installed, students are learning the "fact" that "Allah is the Almighty God," charge critics of a new online curriculum that already is facing condemnation for its secrecy and restrictions on oversight.
The program, called CSCOPE, is a private venture operating under the umbrella of the Texas Education Service Center Curriculum Collaborative, whose incorporation documents state its independence from the State Board of Education of the Texas Education Agency.
Other reports previously have raised alarm over the curriculum's depiction of the Boston Tea Party as a terrorist act on par with the 9/11 attack. Read More......

As a retired Texas pubic school teacher, the recent concerns being raised over CSCOPE curriculum sparked my interest.
I wanted to know more about the business side of CSCOPE, so I filed a Public Information Request for the meeting minutes of their governing board. Instead of finding answers, all I found were more questions.
