Greetings!
In mid-July, an organization calling itself "Fed Up at the Pump," which was created to oppose the state's clean energy and climate law, AB 32, suggested that California Business Alliance (CBA) members and other like-minded businesses were not part of the "true business community." Fed Up also claimed that our mainstream company and organization members were "lining their pockets with government subsidies."
I responded to this disingenuous attack with a blog and reached out to you to respond over social media. Dozens of Business Alliance members joined me in crying foul over Fed Up's claims, adding your tweets of "I am a member of the true business community." Thank you for this effort - it demonstrated that California's small and mainstream businesses, associations and chambers of commerce remain strongly in support of AB 32.
As always, the CBA's effectiveness is made possible by our growing membership. You can help by inviting colleagues and friends to join. And make sure to visit our Facebook page and Twitter Feed for regular updates.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
~Susan Frank Director, California Business Alliance
