Sunday, September 11 at 10:30 AM
This all-ages service celebrates community. It's also our annual ingathering, a kick-off to the year. Everyone is invited to bring water from a place that holds significance for you, maybe from a vacation spot this summer, your own home, or even tears of joy or grief. Together, we mingle these waters together as a symbol of how are lives are woven together in community. Please remember to bring some water.

Open Small Group
Thursday, September 15 at 7:00 PM in Annex B
Small Group Ministry is an ideal way to connect to others and tend to your heart and spirit at UUCP.  Life can feel like a frenzied struggle against a materialistic world, which leave us feeling disconnected from our deepest selves and without the energy to reach out in love and service to others. They follow the monthly worship themes and offer a way to engage the themes in your daily life and grow and learn with a group while sharing your own story, insights and learnings. For more info visit the link below or email Mike Scheffer at the link below.

Lucienne Collaer Rusconi's Art Show
Our Sanctuary Art this fall is in honor of the late UUCP member Lucienne Collaer Rusconi (1925 to 2016)

She described her work this way: "When I paint I must feel a strong 'rhythm' in the work in progress.  Just like a note in music becomes more interesting and alive with other notes, color interaction in painting is most important.  Design, shapes, composition enhances this rhythm of the subject.  I call it My Music. Soft story telling, drama, nature, simple objects, the human condition are all my inspiration!
Calling All Cooks and Assistant Cooks
Calling all chili cooks and assistant cooks! Volunteer cooks needed for the big chili cook-off fundraiser dinner for Rev. Susan Frederick Gray. The dinner will be Sunday afternoon, Sept. 25th. Make whatever kind of chili you want. Are you a beef and beans type chili cook? Or a turkey and white beans chili cook? Or a vegetarian chili cook? We are hoping for a wide range of chilis, which will be sampled by the fundraising diners that evening.
Not a chili cook, but would like to contribute? We also need a few accompaniments and desserts. Please contact Cherie Stafford below or call her at 480-200-2345.
