Nurturing Our Spirits for the Work of Service
Service Leader:  Rev. Susan Frederick-Gray
Sunday, April 10 at 9:30 AM & 11:15 AM
Service requires us to give of ourselves, sometimes to make sacrifices. This can lead to exhaustion and despair. How do we know what is ours to give? And how do we tend to our own health so that we may be of service in ways that enhance our lives and that of others?

"Service is our Prayer" - How this Covenant Came to Be
Service Leader:  Emrys Staton
Sunday, April 17 at 9:30 AM & 11:15 AM
The language of our covenant hearkens back to the late 1800s, as both Unitarians and Universalists kept moving further away from explicitly Christian beliefs and tried to open up to the growing humanist values and principles. We will explore the history of this development, and see how it resonates with us today.

Phoenix Allies for Community Health

Sunday, April 17 at 9:30 AM & 11:15 AM
Phoenix Allies for Community Health provides volunteer-led, patient centered health services to medically marginalized people, with respect and cultural humility.  The main project of PACH is an all-volunteer-run free primary care clinic in Phoenix, catering to the uninsured and underserved.  The PACH Clinic primarily treats chronic diseases, as well as providing treatment for minor infections and women's healthcare.  The Clinic has developed a robust referral network of medical specialists for patients to receive low cost or free specialty care, when needed.  Funding from UUCP will allow the Clinic to see more patients, as they are totally dependent on volunteers and contributions.

Meet a Stewardship Ambassador Today

The Stewardship Ambassador ministry allows members to engage one on one in sharing the difference UUCP makes in our lives as well as share and learn from each other how we give to support it. It's also a great way for members to find new connections! We have heard over and over from our Ambassadors that this has opened the door to new friendships that might not have happened otherwise. Stop by the Stewardship Table during Coffee Hour to meet with an Ambassador and learn about our goals for next year.

Stewardship Campaign Update

We have three more weeks left of our Stewardship Campaign with a goal to get as close to $500,000 as we can.  As of 4/4/16 we have reached 41% of this goal.
We need an overall increase of 10 % in pledge renewals to reach this goal and 125 new pledges of $300 each, to meet this goal.  We know not
everyone will be able to increase their giving. If you are able to increase your pledge by 15 - 20 % OR make a new pledge of $300 or more, this would make a huge difference in helping us grow our flame and shed light on our vision to be a Spiritual Community for Our Time!
