Is it Really Better to Give than to Receive?
Service Leader:  Emrys Staton
Sunday, November 29 at 9:30 AM and 11:15 AM
We will explore this platitude of gratitude that puts moral emphasis on giving. In the role of receiving, there is also great power in the concept of gratitude. How we chose to show gratitude plays a major role in creating and sustaining an overall culture of generosity and compassion.
Coffee Hour Showcase
After each service during Coffee Hour in the Johnson Room
While you're enjoying coffee hour, stop by the Coffee Hour Showcase Table and learn more about the Publicity Committee and Office Volunteering. The Immigration publicity committee works together to update the website, put out announcements and keep the congregation informed events and classes. We will also be featuring office volunteering where you can see how important it is to have volunteers in the UUCP office.

Service Leader:  Rev. Susan Frederick-Gray
Sunday, December 6 at 9:30 AM

The histories and stories from which tradition arise may not hold any value for us today, or worse, they may do harm. What are the traditions that are worth holding on to? What is the value of tradition in our lives?

Drop In Small Group
Thursday, December 17, at 7:00 PM in Annex H
The Third Thursday Small Group Ministry (SGM) is a drop-in group so that people who are not able to commit to a group all the time can come when they are able. It is also for those who are new to SGMs and would like to try it out. We welcome and encourage  newcomers all the time. Some of our participants enjoy coming every session and we    encourage this too. We are very flexible. Our topics are the same as the other SGMs which follow the monthly theme, in depth and in a secure environment, consistent with Reverend Susan's sermons. For further information please contact Mike Sheffer at (702)353-0980 or email him below.
