West Valley UU Congregation Building Dedication

You are invited to the dedication service of our newly built sanctuary at West Valley Unitarian Universalist Church. Please join us on Sunday, October 25th at 4:00 PM at 5904 W Cholla Street, Glendale AZ 85351. 

Ministers and religious professionals are invited to come at 3:30 PM to robe and participate in the processional at the beginning of the ceremony.  We hope you are able to join us for this long awaited celebration!

After each service during Coffee Hour in the Johnson Room
While you're enjoying coffee hour, stop by the Coffee Hour Showcase Table and learn more about Property Management and the Membership Committee. Property Management will show you ways to improve and invest in our campus.  The Membership Committee will show you ways to get involved, welcome others, or even become a new member.

Multi-Generational Dia de los Muertos Service

This all ages service invites us to remember our loved ones who have died through a ritual of remembrance, sharing our gratitude for the love shared. Everyone is invited to bring a photograph or memento of loved ones to place on the altars of remembrance. Dia de Los Muertos is a wise reminder that we need not be afraid of death, but find ways to remember our loved ones as we celebrate the gift of life.
Children and Youth: Sing at our Nov. 1 service!
Sunday November 1
Our UU Ukelele Circle will be performing the great blues song "Freight Train" at our multi-generational Dia de los Muertos services on Nov. 1, and anyone is welcome to join them- especially children, youth, parents, and those feeling young at heart! Music Director Benjie Messer will be available to teach the song on Thurs. Oct. 29 at 6:45pm (after the Community Night dinner) and on Sun. Nov. 1 at 9:00am and 10:45am (before each service). UUEEC Fall Festival
Saturday October 24, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM, UUCP Campus
Come Join us for the UUEEC Fall Festival!  Saturday, October 24th from 10AM to 1PM. Free admission to play in the bounce houses, make bubbles, costume contest, and crafts for kids! Fundraiser items include Pumpkin Patch, Bake Sale, Face Painting, Snow Cones, Ghost Hunt, Book Walk, Etc. Food options will be available. 

Pre-Sale Ticket Bundle can be purchased by donating to the congregation at the UUCP website and by adding a memo stating ticket bundle. 20 tickets is enough for the whole day and proceeds go to the preschool! Please come out and support us!! 
Addiction Ministries Small Group
Saturday October 24, 4:30 PM, Annex B
This addictions support group meets to discuss various compulsive and addictive behaviors. We provide a safe haven to discuss how our week has been and to talk openly about our spiritual beliefs. It is designed for those with stable recovery (we ask for 6 months of sobriety). Your anonymity will be protected. The group is not appropriate for co-dependency or family and friends of addicts. Senior Women's Small Group
Thursday, October 27 at 12:00 PM in Annex C
This is a group of 10 to 11 older women who meet twice a month, second and fourth Tuesdays, at noon at UUCP. They discuss the theme of the month at one of the meetings with a special focus on how it relates to their age group. The second meeting often considers their memories, reflections, what we've learned from their life experiences, and where they are with their lives at this point. Register for this group below.

Community Night
Thursday, October 29 at 6:00 PM
Join us for dinner and conversation starting at 6:00 PM. We will provide the main dish of Macaroni & Cheese, Steamed Vegetables, Green Salad. If you are able, bring a side dish or dessert to share. Chalice kids will start at 6:30 PM and we have activities planned for all the kids. The suggested donation is $5/adults, $2/children under 10, $10/family. Board of Trustees Meeting

We invite all members to join us for the monthly Board of Trustees meeting on Tuesday, October 27 in the Johnson Room. Social hour begins at 6, the meeting starts at 6:30 with guest comments, and feel free to observe the rest of the meeting. This month the board will discuss the metrics for our second end statement. How will we know if UUCP is a healthy, vibrant, multigenerational, and multicultural religious community filled with committed uuvangelical Unitarian Universalists?
