Music plays such an integral role in the movements for freedom, both by inspiring people in the struggle, and by capturing the conditions of oppression in the poetry of lyrics. From hymns to hip-hop, we can be motivated and educated by the artists who provide powerful messages for us to listen, sing, dance and march to. 
Share the Plate with Phoenix Center for the Arts

The mission of Phoenix Center for the Arts is to provide opportunities to
participate in the visual and performing arts through quality classes,programming, and events. Events include the Phoenix Festival of the Arts. Classes are year round in painting, pottery, mosaics, creative writing and a lot more. But most importantly, we have the Art Mobile, which delivers free classes to children in low-income communities 2-3 times per month. The Art Mobile program is what the share the plate money will help. The Art Mobile will be in the parking lot and the Executive Director will be here to answer any questions.

Thoughtful Leadership Forum

Thoughtful and compassionate leadership brings many spiritual gifts to both leaders and those they serve. This forum provides a regular space for exploring members' leadership strengths and styles, topics regarding the gifts (both given and received) and challenges of servant leadership, and how leadership in our congregation can change the world. Register online below or call the office at 602-840-8400 ext. 201.

Where is UU in Time and Space?
We are here and it is now, silly. But UUCP's space is different now than it was a few years ago. What will it need to be a few years from now? How can our campus best serve our ministry and vision? Community Night

Join us for dinner and conversation starting at 6:00 PM. We will provide the main dish of a Non-Vegetarian Pasta Dish, Vegetarian Pasta Dish and Green Salad. If you are able, bring a side dish or dessert to share. Chalice kids will start at 6:30 PM and we have activities planned for all the kids. The Third Thursday Small Group Ministry (SGM) is a drop-in group so that people who are not able to commit to a group all the time can come when they are able. It is also for those who are new to SGMs and would like to try it out. We welcome and encourage newcomers all the time. Some of our participants enjoy coming every session and we encourage this too. We are very flexible. Our topics are the same as the other SGMs which follow the monthly theme, in depth and in a secure environment, consistent with Reverend Susan's sermons. The themes of the session plans are: The Sacred Female, In the Name of the Mother and Daughter, Womenpower, The First Tuning-From Goddess to God, and Reclaiming Woman's Heritage of Peace.

VUU Prescott Family Retreat
November 6-8, 2015
It will be a fun fall weekend at Pine Summit Camp.
