To Be a People of Covenant
Service Leader:  Emrys Staton
Sunday, September 27 at 9:30 AM and 11:15 AM
While a covenant serves to bind a community together through time, it should not been seen as a static agreement. As society and environment change, innovate and adapt, our sense of covenant should also evolve to remain relevant and to help push us forward. We will explore how covenant can provide long-term stability, and also be a useful framework for social change.
Share the Plate with the AZ Council on Economic Education
Sunday, September 27
The Arizona Council on Economic Education ("ACEE") is dedicated to improving economic and financial literacy in Arizona.  ACEE's mission is to empower teachers and educate students, so that all school-aged children grow up to become economically and financially responsible employees, parents, citizens and leaders in the future.  Share the Plate funds will contribute to one Financial Literacy Family Night, which will reach 50 families through educators, who can bring awareness of financial skills to families.

Jen Mozilo, Director of Operations, for ACEE will be on hand for most of both services at the back table.  She will also be available with brochures to hand out to congregation members.
Next Sunday, October 4
To Seek Knowledge in Freedom
Service Leader:  Rev. Susan Fredrick-Gray
Sunday, September 27 at 9:30 AM and 11:15 AM
Each week we affirm a covenant to seek knowledge in freedom. Why is this commitment to knowledge and freedom so foundational for Unitarian Universalists and how are we understanding or misunderstanding religious freedom today?
