Community Night and Variety Show

Thursday, August 6, 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM

Our UUCP Variety Hour is Thursday, August 6 from 7:00-8:00 PM in the sanctuary, after a 6:00 PM community night potluck in the Johnson Room. Variety Hours are low-key, all-ages chances to share our creativity and culture with the congregation. It's like a talent show, but there's no talent required- just appreciation! Music, poetry, theater, jokes, inventions, foods, etc. are all fair game, and both children and adults are welcome to participate. Non-performers are welcome to attend as well. There's no need to sign up in advance, but if you have any questions, please email Benjie Messer at benjiemesser@gmail.com. No childcare is provided this evening, so any attending children need to be supervised by their parents.

Upcoming Classes and Events

Sundays With the Kids

Have you considered joining our children's ministry team?  Each Sunday we depend on volunteers to teach, guide, and mentor the youngest members of our congregation.  This year, we are looking for community members to commit to 2, 4, and 12 week blocks.  Available roles include Subject Leaders/Teachers, Class Guides, and One-on-One mentors.  Please contact Katie Resendiz at KatieResendiz@phoenixuu.org for more information or to volunteer.

Tom Neilson Benefit Concert for UU Church of the Restoration in Tulsa

Tuesday, August 11, 8:00 PM Central Time

The UU Church of the Restoration was founded in 1987 as an intentionally racially diverse congregation located in the traditional African American community in Tulsa.  Our mission is to promote racial justice and religious freedom. Last fall, our air conditioning system was destroyed by vandals, and the roof has been damaged by wind and rain. This benefit concert keeps this sacred and safe space open for the community, through the Oklahoma heat and rain. There is a $10 suggested donation for the event. Please pay more if you are able, or pay what you can. To buy a ticket go to the link below.
