Donate Items to Puente Human Rights Movement
UUCP's Immigration Small Group Justice Ministry partners with the Puente group.  Puente needs the following new or gently used items, or funds to purchase them: 
  • Garden tools (all heavy-duty):  wheelbarrow, shovels, tree trimmers; 
  • Lumber (2 x 4s); 
  • Children's benches with storage. 
To donate, click the link below to email the Immigration Ministry. They will arrange to receive your donation, and feel free to ask us more about our ministry.

Annual Congregational Meeting - Calling All Members!

Being a member of UUCP brings special responsibilities include electing leadership and adopting an annual budget. All members who are able are (expected!) to attend the Congregational Annual Meeting. Hear updates on UUCP's Strategic Goals, Budget and Staffing for next year and elect new leaders to the Board, Nominating Committee and Foundation board.  Childcare will be provided. If you have a great interest in the budget, please attend the Budget Information meeting on Sunday, May 31 at 11:45 AM to learn about the budget in detail.

New Day Meal Service Opportunity

Live out the UU commitment to serving those in need by serving a meal to the 150 parents and children of the UMOM New Day Center. This is a one-time, two-hour commitment. Please email Janet Williams or call her at 602-291-0100.

UU Door Blessing Chalices Available Sunday
Visit the Johnson Room (east wall) to see the latest and greatest "UU Door Blessing Chalices". There is an "honor system" sales system set up, with envelopes available for payment and deposit in the Office 1 mail slot. 100% of your purchase goes to UUCP.

Francis Wiget, the auction winner, requested an exploration of the Christian Socialists of 17th century England, the Levelers and the work and theology of Dr. King.  The religious imagination informs how we view an ideal world and there are similarities in the views of the Levelers and Dr. King, as well as in the Hebrew Prophets, Jesus and religious leaders today.

Traveling 2nd Fridays Visits Thailand

Join us for Traveling 2nd Friday on Friday, June 12  from  7 to 8 pm in the UUCP sanctuary to hear Barbara Cawthorne's travels in Thailand.  Discover modern Bangkok, the ancient UNESCO-protected temples of Ayuthaya, the bridge over the river Kwai and the Floating Market. Visit picturesque mountains, colorful hill tribes, and ancient cities. Discover the Golden Triangle with the opium industry & the less developed and unexplored parts of Thailand including an elephant ride through the river.  Everyone is welcome.
