Summer Sunday School:  Water Play Day and More

  • May 31 is the special Water Day ceremony, so please bring bathing suits for the kids and prepare for getting wet and dirty!
  • June 7 is Religious Education (RE) Sunday. Each class will have a presentation for the congregation to celebrate all we have learned together this year.
  • The Summer Science Program is open for participation from the congregation! May 24 was the last Sunday School session for this year, and we start again in September.

Budget Information Meeting

Rev. Susan will give an informational presentation on next year's budget that will be voted on at the Annual Meeting on Sunday, June 7.  The budget will be emailed to members prior to the budget meeting.

Annual Congregational Meeting - Calling All Members!

Being a member of UUCP brings special responsibilities include electing leadership and adopting an annual budget. All members who are able are (expected!) to attend the Congregational Annual Meeting. Hear updates on UUCP's Strategic Goals, Budget and Staffing for next year and elect new leaders to the Board, Nominating Committee and Foundation board.  Childcare will be provided. If you have a great interest in the budget, please attend the Budget Information meeting on Sunday, May 31 at 11:45 AM to learn about the budget in detail.
New Day Meal Service Opportunity
Sunday, June 7, at 5:15 PM
Live out the UU commitment to serving those in need by serving a meal to the 150 parents and children of the UMOM New Day Center. This is a one-time, two-hour commitment. Please email Janet Williams or call her at 602-291-0100.

UUCP Community Games Night
Thursday, June 4, at 6:30 PM in the Johnson Room
Join us in the Johnson Room at 6:00 PM for a Community Night potluck and stay for a night of fun and games for all ages. We will provide many different card games and board games, or you can bring your favorite.  Adults and children will play together, so there will not be Chalice Kids - but there will be lots of fun!  Please contact Kristina Benner with any questions at 602-840-8400 ext. 205.

Traveling 2nd Fridays Visits Thailand
Friday, June 12, at 7:00 PM
Join us for Traveling 2nd Friday on Friday, June 12  from  7 to 8 pm in the UUCP sanctuary to hear Barbara Cawthorne's travels in Thailand.  Discover modern Bangkok, the ancient UNESCO-protected temples of Ayuthaya, the bridge over the river Kwai and the Floating Market. Visit picturesque mountains, colorful hill tribes, and ancient cities. Discover the Golden Triangle with the opium industry & the less developed and unexplored parts of Thailand including an elephant ride through the river.  Everyone is welcome.
