Annual Congregational Meeting - Calling All Members!

Being a member of UUCP brings special responsibilities include electing leadership and adopting an annual budget. All members who are able are (expected!) to attend the Congregational Annual Meeting. Hear updates on UUCP's Strategic Goals, Budget and Staffing for next year and elect new leaders to the Board, Nominating Committee and Foundation board.  Childcare will be provided. If you have a great interest in the budget, please attend the Budget Information meeting on Sunday, May 31 at 11:45 AM to learn about the budget in detail.

May 24:  Making Meaning from the Ashes of War and Tragedy

Some ideologies make war meaningful. War can create emotional payoffs of solidarity and danger that may mimic feelings of meaning. What is truly heroic is those who are able to grasp the tragedy and immorality of war and yet still find pathways to hope and meaning out of that tragedy.

Budget Information Meeting

Rev. Susan will give an informational presentation on next year's budget that will be voted on at the Annual Meeting on Sunday, June 7.  The budget will be emailed to members prior to the budget meeting.

Throughout April, we explored the concept of generosity. Now, facilitators Diana Ashley and Heidi Parmenter offer the opportunity to explore your own spiritual practice of generosity with your time, talent, and treasure through small group discussion. Register below by May 25. To ensure a productive discussion, the minimum enrollment is four.

UUCP Community Games Night
Thursday, June 4, at 6:30 PM in the Johnson Room
Join us in the Johnson Room at 6:00 PM for a Community Night potluck and stay for a night of fun and games for all ages. We will provide many different card games and board games, or you can bring your favorite.  Adults and children will play together, so there will not be Chalice Kids - but there will be lots of fun!  Please contact Kristina Benner with any questions at 602-840-8400 ext. 205.
New Day Meal Service Opportunity

Live out the UU commitment to serving those in need by serving a meal to the 150 parents and children of the UMOM New Day Center. This is a one-time, two-hour commitment. Please email Janet Williams or call her at 602-291-0100.
