Sunday, March 8 at 9:30 and 11:15 AM
Service Leader:  Rev. Susan Frederick-Gray
hearts-icon.jpg
Being clear about where you want to go is an important step to getting there.  More than eight years ago, UUCP identify building a beloved community as a central goal.  What is the beloved community and does this vision still fit our intentions?  (Hint: I say, YES!)
Starting Point
Sunday, March 8 at 10:45 AM
Meet a member of our Welcoming Ministry and our Children's Ministry Director in the front foyer at 10:45 AM for a brief tour of our campus. You will have a chance to learn about our programs and ask questions in this informal introduction to UUCP. No sign up. Just show up!
Next Sunday
March 15:  Intentions in Tension
Sunday, March 15 at 9:30 and 11:15 AM
Service Leader:  Susan Goldsmith, member, Vision Task Force
Most of us hold on to many intentions.  They may be big or small, individual or communal, ambitious or not, lofty or not.  This morning we will explore how we might name our intentions, reduce the tensions among them and use them to move from vision to action.
Art Show Reception:  The Triumph of Spirit over Disability by Tish Gauntt
Sunday, March 15, at 1:30 PM in the Sanctuary
On March 15, the Sanctuary  Art Team is featuring a new art display called "The Triumph of Spirit over Disability" by Tish Gauntt. This one woman show aims to promote awareness of Bi-Polar Disorder or "Manic Depression" which occurs in about 2% of the population and from which she suffers. The paintings in this show were made over a period of 3 1/2 decades and reflect many changes of moods. We invite you to a reception at 1:30 PM on March 15 to meet Tish and see the paintings.
Share the Plate:  March of Dimes
Sunday, March 15
Next Sunday, we Share the Plate with March of Dimes. On April 11, thousands of adults and children (including UUCP member Karen Kurtz) will gather for the annual March for Babies walk sponsored by the March of Dimes-Phoenix Chapter. Funds raised from this event support March of Dimes research and local programs that help moms have full-term pregnancies and healthy babies. It also supports efforts to bring comfort and information to the families of babies in newborn intensive care. Next Sunday's offering will benefit March of Dimes.
Vision for the Future
Complete by Friday, March 13
UUCP's Board of Trustees has created a Vision Task Force to engage the congregation in a process to renew our Vision Statement. Every several years, it is useful to have discernment conversations throughout the congregation to clarify our goals and dreams.  We welcome you to participate in a two-question survey to share your thoughts about UUCP's Vision for the Future. The deadline to complete the survey is Friday, March 13.

This is a low-key, all-ages forum to share something creative with the UUCP community, either by yourself or in a group- tell a joke, sing a song, act out a skit, recite a poem, draw a picture, do a dance, etc. It's like a talent show, but there's no talent required- just appreciation for everyone's offerings. Non-performers are welcome to attend and enjoy as well. There's no need to sign up in advance, but if you have any questions, please click the box to email Music Director, Benjie Messer.
