January 11:  The Most Courageous Act
Service Leaders: Rev. Susan Frederick-Gray
We associate courage with strength, and bravery, boldness and power.  But what if I told you that a key to courage is vulnerability.  Sometimes the most courageous thing we can do is be brave enough to share our failures, to share our weaknesses, to be vulnerable.

How far have we come since the victories of the civil rights movements?  Some say a long way; others today are naming powerfully the ways that racism and discrimination persist even if the language has changed.  On this Martin Luther King, Jr. Sunday, what are the conversations and what are the movements we need today?
