Calling All Singers

January is a perfect time to join the UUCP Congregation Choir, and we welcome new singers! The choir rehearses every Wed. evening from 7:00-9:00 PM, and sings during services every other Sunday morning.

If you would be interested in singing with the choir for a single rehearsal and service, but can't commit to our full spring season, you're in luck! Our spring season kicks off with a single rehearsal (Wed. Jan. 14, 7:00-9:00 PM) and service (Sunday, January 18) that are open to anyone, with no expectation of joining the choir. We will be singing in parts, but no previous musical experience is necessary. Please email Music Director Benjie Messer or call him at 480-310-9826 with any questions.

THIS SUNDAY:  ONE SERVICE AT 10:30 AM
December 28:  Hymn Sing!
Service Leader:  Benjie Messer
This is a season of music and singing!  Together we will make a joyful noise as we sing some of our favorite hymns and some especially for the season. Hymns will be chosen during the service by you, the members of the congregation, so please come with a favorite hymn in mind.

NEXT SUNDAY AT 9:30 & 11:15 AM
January 4:  Meditation for the New Year
Service Leaders: Rev. Susan Frederick-Gray and Lynne Haessler
This will be a unique service blending music, meditation, singing, and reflection as a way to welcome the New Year on a meditation f0r peace, hope, courage and strength.
UMOM New Day Center Meal Service
Sunday, January 4, at 5:15 PM at UMOM New Day Center
Start the New Year out in gratitude and live out the UU commitment to serving those in need by serving a meal to the residents of the UMOM New Day Center. Volunteers meet at the center at 5:15 PM and help feed a nutritious meal to the 150 parents and children who are living at New Day and rebuilding their lives. This is a great opportunity for singles, couples, families with children (age 8+) or interest groups here at UUCP to be of service, spend time with friends and make new ones. This is a one-time, two-hour commitment. Please email Janet Williams with questions or to RSVP.
