August:  Living the Life of a Seeker
FEATURED THIS WEEK
Looking for Experienced New Day Meal Volunteers
Are you a past UMOM New Day meal volunteer? Would you be willing to show some new volunteers the ropes on an upcoming Sunday? We will handle the organization and find the volunteers, but we need two people who know the ropes to agree to be on site a two or three times per year. Please call Janet Williams at 602-291-0100 or email her if you are willing to help.
THIS SUNDAY AT 10:30 AM
August 31:  Seeking Harmony
Service Leader:  Benjie Messer hand_holding_note.jpg Our UU hymnals offer profound musical and emotional experiences that take some time and effort to fully explore. In this service, we will use the hymnals as springboards to explore the sources of Unitarian Universalism, experience singing together in harmony, and uncover deeper meaning in the music.
Welcome Home to the World Travelers
Our summer religious education program concludes this Sunday with a Welcome Home party.  We will revisit some of our favorite activities from the many countries we visited and compare stickers on our passports.  Sparkling Cider will be served to celebrate our young travelers and our many volunteer tour guides that led us through Malaysia, Ireland, Austria, India, USA, Australia, China, Egypt, Fiji, Canada, Italy, and Spain.  Children will be back in worship service for Together Time with our World Travel Coordinator, Noel Arring.
NEXT SUNDAY AT 10:30 AM
September 7:  Multigenerational Water Communion teardrop_icon.gif Service:  Jumping In!
Service Leaders: Revs. Susan Frederick-Gray and Linda Lawrence, Anne Byrne and Benjie Messer
This all-ages service celebrates community. It's also our annual ingathering, a kick-off to the year. Everyone is invited to bring water from a place that holds significance for you. We mingle these waters together as a symbol of how are lives are woven together in community.

You can make a big difference in a newcomer's experience at UUCP by volunteering your time as a Greeter or Usher one Sunday a month. It's fun and easy! Please email Rev. Linda or call her at 602-840-8400, Ext. 204 for more information or to volunteer.

Parent's Small Group Begins September 18
Third Wednesdays at 6:30 PM
This small group is especially for parents of young children. The activities of daily life with young children place significant time constraints on our schedules. Finding time to listen, learn, and share in ways that enrich our lives can be fleeting or non-existent. We have specifically planned this group to offer ease and convenience. We'll meet once a month (Third Wednesday) from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at UUCP. Child care will be available and it is possible to arrive early for a picnic/sack dinner. Please email Ellie if you are interested in joining us.
Welcoming all in building religious community, called to
share journeys,
grow in spirit,
advance justice.
