THIS SUNDAY AT 10:30 AM
August 24:  In Search of Truth
Service Leader: Rev. Susan Frederick-Gray
The covenant we read each Sunday reminds us, "The quest for truth is our sacrament." What is truth? Does it have a capital "T"? Is it really singular? In our pluralistic, even relativistic world, what is the nature of truth? Do we actually think there is some singular Truth that we might one day find?
NEXT SUNDAY AT 10:30 AM
August 31:  Seeking Harmony
Service Leader:  Benjie Messer hand_holding_note.jpg Our UU hymnals offer profound musical and emotional experiences that take some time and effort to fully explore. In this service, we will use the hymnals as springboards to explore the sources of Unitarian Universalism, experience singing together in harmony, and uncover deeper meaning in the music.

Welcoming Ministry Needs You
As we think about homecoming and the start of our two-services-per-Sunday schedule, let's make a commitment to helpful hospitality. You can make a big difference in a newcomer's experience at UUCP by volunteering your time as a Greeter or Usher one Sunday a month. It's fun and easy! Please email Rev. Linda or call her at 602-840-8400, Ext. 204 for more information or to volunteer.
Looking for New Day Meal Alumni
Are you a past UMOM New Day meal volunteer? Would you be willing to show some new volunteers the ropes on an upcoming Sunday? We will handle the organization and find the volunteers, but we need two people on site who know the ropes. Please call Janet Williams at 602-291-0100 or email her if you are willing to help.
Parent's Small Group Begins September 18
Third Wednesdays at 6:30 PM

This small group is especially for parents of young children. The activities of daily life with young children place significant time constraints on our schedules. Finding time to listen, learn, and share in ways that enrich our lives can be fleeting or non-existent. We have specifically planned this group to offer ease and convenience. We'll meet once a month (Third Wednesday) from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at UUCP. Child care will be available and it is possible to arrive early for a picnic/sack dinner. Please email Ellie if you are interested in joining us.
