THIS SUNDAY AT 10:30 AM
August 17:  Seek Not Afar
Service Leader: Rev. Susan Frederick-Gray
There is a healthy tension between seeking knowledge outside of ourselves and searching for understanding within ourselves. Having explored the sources that inform our faith, now we'll turn to the wisdom we can find when we search within ourselves.
Share the Plate with Justa Center
Justa Center is located in a nondescript, older building a few blocks east of the capitol. It is the only day center designed to help homeless senior citizens in Phoenix. It does not receive any government funding, relying solely on private donations. Justa provides a safe place for seniors to get off the street in the hot or cold  weather, to receive assistance with social security or pension problems, or to
find employment and housing. There will be brochures on the table in the rear of  the Sanctuary if you'd like additional information. All donations next Sunday not otherwise designated will be given to Justa Center.
World Travelers Visit Canada
We are off to Canada with our own Canadian imports as tour guides - the Matteson
 - Gareau family.  Our World Travelers program visits Canada this week as part of
our summer multi-age religious education program.  We have been all over the world  and this week we visit our northern neighbors.
NEXT SUNDAY AT 10:30 AM
August 22:  In Search of Truth
Service Leader: Rev. Susan Frederick-Gray
The covenant we read each Sunday reminds us, "The quest for truth is our sacrament." What is truth? Does it have a capital "T"? Is it really singular? In our pluralistic, even relativistic world, what is the nature of truth? Do we actually think there is some singular Truth that we might one day find?
