February 2:  Kindness Begins at Home (and with Self)
yoga-girl-home.jpg Service Leader: Rev. Susan Frederick-Gray  Loving-kindness meditation and practices are used to help turn our minds of fear and anger and resentment, to love and openness.  The practice encourages greater feelings of calm and peacefulness, a more positive outlook and greater happiness. But the practice always begins with directing this loving kindness first to the self.

New Day Meal Service

Live out the UU commitment to serving those in need by serving a meal to the residents of the UMOM New Day Center.  Volunteers meet at the center at 5PM and help feed a nutritious meal to the 150 parents and children who are living at New Day and rebuilding their lives. This is a great opportunity for singles, couples, families with children (minimum age 8 years old) or interest groups here at UUCP to be of service, spend time with friends and make new ones. This is a one time, two hour commitment. Please contact Michael Hipps by email or call 602-488-1188.
