Author Meredith Jones published a comprehensive article on the value add women bring to performance managing alternative assets in areas such as hedge funds, private equity and venture capital. Her article cites numerous studies including a 2015 study by Kyria Capital which highlighted that women-run hedge funds are more likely to produce top-quartile performance.
