Message from your PTSA President
It was wonderful seeing so many parents at our General PTSA meeting and Curriculum Night this week. We are so fortunate to be part of a community of parents and staff that care so much about our students. Hopefully you were able to meet some members of our PTSA leadership team.
At the PTSA meeting, we were able to approve our Mission, Values, and Goals - take a look here. We really work hard to make sure the use of your generous donations aligns with our mission to serve the students and community of Eastlake High School. Announcements
Math Lab is Back!
Join our team of super teachers Mrs. Skiba and/or Ms. Everson to help make it all clear. Class is every Tuesday, 5-7 pm, Room C-224. All levels welcome including AP and UW. It's FREE to use...just another program "powered" by your EHS PTSA!
Wall Tiles - It's a Tradition
Located to the left of the main entrance to EHS, the Recognition Wall is home to hundreds of engraved tiles honoring our students and faculty. A recognition tile allows you to leave a permanent legacy on campus and display your Eastlake pride.
Senior Apparel
Order your Senior Apparel. We have finalized the designs and added a Black Hoodie in addition to the Gray. We also have a white T-shirt and gray sweatpants. Click here to view your choices and to order! If you have already ordered and would like to change your hoodie to black please email srapparel@ehsptsa.org. Orders need to be received by October 8 for delivery in October.
Get Ready for the Holiday Bazaar
Calling all artisans and crafters to participate in Eastlake High School's 22nd annual HOLIDAY BAZAAR! We are looking for artisans that make handmade items (food, toys, gifts art, clothing, woodworks, etc) and are interested in having a booth for our Saturday, November 7 Holiday Bazaar. Booth prices are: $70 or single booth, tables and electricity extra. Come join in on the fun! Application deadline is October 1. Please contact: eastlakeholidaybazaar@gmail.com.
SAT/ACT Fall Practice Tests & Fundraiser
Fear Free SAT/ACT Practice Tests -
October 11 for ACT and October 31 for SAT.
Are you a little confused about which tests your child should be taking? The ACT, SAT, PSAT, Fear Free ACT & SAT - yikes! Don't worry, you're not alone! Here are two links that will provide clarification. This link shows comparative information in chart form for each exam. This link gives you a more indepth look at the differences of each test and who takes them. Now you can make some sense of all these dates and sign-ups being offered by Eastlake, the PTSA and our Community Partners and make sure your student is well-prepared for the college application process.

Reflections 2015
Calling all artists - the Reflections Art contest has started. The theme for this year is " Let Your Imagination Fly." There are new rules and more info on the PTSA website under Programs. Entries due November 2. Any questions, please email Bettina Thrun or Khawar Ahmed.
Are you a Fred Meyer Shopper?
Here's another low-effort fundraising option through your Fred Meyer Rewards Card. Log onto
www.fredmeyer.com/communityrewards and sign up. On this page, you'll scroll halfway down and select "Link Your Rewards Card Now." Type in "Eastlake High School PTSA" and you're done. If you don't have a Fred Meyer Rewards Card, stop by your favorite Fred Meyer and register, then log in and link your card to EHS. Fred Meyer will donate a minimum of $25 each quarter, but we can increase this amount by shopping at Fred Meyer. The more people who join, the more money we make. Thanks for helping us earn money for Eastlake through yet another low-effort fundraising option!
 LWSD has a new system to make you aware of events happening in our area. It's called Peachjar. Click here to view current flyers and events. You will find it on EHS Website home page. It's updated regularly and includes information and links to events and groups in our area.
Clothing and Textile Drive - Wednesday, September 30 through Friday, October 2 at EHS, 7am-9am and 2pm-7pm each day. Textiles include: CLOTHING new and gently used. SHOES paired only; TOWELS; STUFFED ANIMALS, HATS, SHEETS, BLANKETS, QUILTS; BEDSPREADS, DRAPES, PURSES, BELTS synthetic/ leather... All items must be dry, bagged and clean.
