Call for GVHS Representatives for
Massachusetts Equine Affaire
If you are a GVHS member/horse owner and would like the opportunity to help us to educate attendees about the Gypsy Vanner breed through the GVHS display and Breed Demonstration we would like to hear from you. The MA Equine Affaire is a four day all discipline/ all breed event taking place November 12-15, 2015 at the Eastern States Expo, W. Springfield, MA.
Up to 10 Gypsy Vanner horses can be featured in the Breed Demonstration. Breed demonstrations focus on the history of the breed; the conformation, gaits, and unique qualities that define the breed; and the disciplines and activities at which members of the breed excel. While horses are ridden, driven, and presented in hand in the arena, Equine Affaire's announcer reads a script prepared by the breed association and plays music the exhibitor provides on a CD.
Participating farms can book on their own to showcase their own horses/farms in the Horse & Farms exhibits area. These horses may also be eligible to participate in the various seminars and clinics occurring throughout the weekend. Participants would also be asked to take a time slot to help us 'man' the display in the Breed Pavilion to greet Expo attendees and discuss the Gypsy Vanner Breed with them. Each day we can feature a different horse in the display stall in the Breed Pavilion where the horses can be shown in the daily in-hand demos and Q& A sessions. To support breeds in producing their demos, Equine Affaire provides 24 hours of stabling and two single-day admission tickets for each horse brought to the event solely for a breed demo.
If you would like to learn more about participating as part of the GVHS display and Breed Demonstrations this November, please contact :
