Gypsy Vanners at FAIRS & EXPOS Near You!
In early March at the Illinois Horse Fair, Ten Oaks Dupree, owned by GVHS members the Oxford's, helped establish the beauty and superb movement of the Gypsy Vanner breed with a second place finish in the Fair's new Liberty showcase event!
 The Michigan Horse Expo/ Trade Fair held in mid-March was well attended by almost a dozen Gypsy Vanner horses and their owners. Several member farms participated to help educate the public about the Gypsy Vanner breed. In April & beyond, the GVHS and our members will be attending many Expos & Fairs to showcase and educate about the phenomenal Gypsy Vanner Horse!

Hoosier Horse Fair, Indianapolis, IN, April 10-12
Equine Affaire, Columbus, OH, April 9-12
Midwest Horse Fair, Madison, WI, April 17-19

GVHS SHOW COMMITTEE UPDATE:
The GVHS Show Committee had a very busy few months leading up to the Annual Meeting. New initiatives were introduced including documenting procedures for Judges' Qualification and Renewal, new Show & Judge Evaluation forms, Show Checklists to help us determine if a Show will be Points-Qualifying and receive any level of Sponsorship and more!
The Committee has also been reviewing the Show Rules. Provisions were added to allow Dressage tack and attire in the English Pleasure class and to allow for the use of a standard Dressage whip in the In Hand Suitability for Dressage class. This review and updating of our Rules continues.
Another focus area for the Committee has been reviewing the High Point & Vanner Advantage Awards' systems and re-classifying how/ when Points will be accrued. 2015 Awards will be expanded to recognize Halter & Performance achievements for Youth & Amateur competitors and Vanner Advantage will have an enhanced point system to allocate appropriate points recognizing the scope of each particular event. New Vanner Advantage forms are under development.
**Note that we expect one Utah show will be added to this list for June or July. We will update once the date has been finalized.

Entries are limited to amateur photographers only.
Contest judges are professional photographers Mark Barrett & Laurel Golemba and artist/sculptor, June Brown. We hope to feature winning photos in the 2015 edition of The Vanner magazine.
