2015 Gypsy Vanner Horse Society 

Annual Meeting

Grand Oaks Resort, Weirsdale, FL

From February 20-23^rd, over 120 Gypsy Vanner owners, breeders and enthusiasts gathered at the Grand Oaks Resort to share stories & experiences, participate in educational seminars and clinics and celebrate achievements.  

At the Welcome Reception hosted at Shenandoah Gypsy Vanner guests were treated with true southern hospitality to a delicious meal and a social gathering around the bonfire. They even developed a signature drink for the evening, "The Tipsy Gypsy"! 

Throughout the day on Saturday, attendees were encouraged to circulate around the various activities to view and learn from our clinicians working with clinic participants. We also had GVHS Evaluations ongoing throughout the day. 

This year's Awards Banquet was better than ever thanks to the hard work of Rita Ostrom! The Youth t-shirt design winner, Chiara Berthelot, was announced with t-shirt gift packs given to all Youth attending.   

Many generous donors contributed to the evening's fundraising raffle & auction. Thank you to our Youth raffle assistants and Jason Adams for his superb skills as an auctioneer! The Top 10% were recognized in each High Points category along with achievements for Gypsy Vanners in Vanner Advantage USDF Dressage All Breed programs.

Many early risers came out to participate the Sunday morning seminars and Sunday brunch attendees were entertained by several different performances highlighting the Gypsy Vanner's versatility in English, Western, driving and parade!  

The Sunday afternoon farm tours hosted by WR Ranch and Olympus Sport Horses featured educational discussions regarding reproduction and stallion handling and training respectively.  

Several guests stayed on through the day Monday for the Judge- Owner/Breeder Clinic, presented by Wayne Hipsley.
