Maryland Horse World Expo
Four year old Scarlett, spent time in the King's Symbol Farm Gypsy Vanner Horse breed booth, at the Maryland Horse World Expo in Timonium, Maryland, this month. Although her parents, Shane and Mariam Mortenson, rode in the breed demos and parade of breeds at this event, young Scarlett is quite the horse rider herself. She was awarded a plaque for being the youngest rider on a 9 mile benefit trail ride for their local fire department in Catlett, Virginia.
Thank you for representing the Gypsy Vanner Breed at this Expo and CONGRATULATIONS, Scarlett!!

PATH International & ACTHA
to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day Together
The Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.) announced to its 850 North American Centers plans to embark on their largest fund raising project ever. In partnership with The American Competitive Trail Horse Association (ACTHA), PATH Int'l hopes to raise $1,000,000 for its centers throughout the month of March 2014, with a special focus on the weekend of March 15-16, 2014.
March 2014 will be a very special month for those families in need of physical and emotional therapeutic help that uniquely the horse/human connection can give. Plans include hosting approximately 1,000 ACTHA events throughout North America in this month. Each of PATH International's Centers will be invited to partake and share in the fun and the funding.
For more information, visit www.actha.us/path or if you are interested in being a part of this event, please email us at IWANTARIDE@ACTHA.US. Be sure to check our events calendar to find a ride near you at www.actha.us/events.
Recently the GVHS established an organization partnership with The American Competitive Trail Horse Association (ACTHA) in an effort to co-promote events and communicate educational information. If you are involved in ACTHA events with your Gypsy Vanner Horse, please send us some photos, along with a description of the event and names of the participants and we can share this with others via the Vanner Banner!
