"Big data" is starting to evolve how carriers underwrite. Multiple carriers are saying that within the next 12 months we'll see startling changes.

One of the first to take advantage is SBLI.  Savings Bank Life Insurance of Massachusetts is an A+(Superior) rated carrier founded over 100 years ago by future Supreme Court Chief Justice Louis Brandeis.

Last week SBLI kicked off their No Exams and No Labs guidelines:
  • $100,000 to $500,000
  • Available for all rate classes
  • Use a traditional paper app packet or their e-app via the link on our website
  • Available for their level term plans - 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30 year

This is not a "simplified issue" solution for clients with health problems.  All cases are fully underwritten.  The no exams, no labs approach simply means for most cases the underwriting cycle is faster.

You'll find SBLI products on our spreadsheet quote engine.  Easier is better - try SBLI's No Exams/No Labs underwriting on your next term client.

Annuity Plans

For the second time in the past month traditional fixed interest rates are dropping with all of our carriers.  The highest rates continue to be with North American.  Effective July 6th, rates are dropping by as much as 20 bsp on various guaranteed periods. To receive current rates, the application including the original signatures must be received in North American's home office by the end of business on July 5th.

Have you tried North American's new annuity e-app?  The beauty of the annuity e-app is that it assures all forms, all signatures and all initials are completed - you can't overlook anything  - it's complete when you hit the submit button.View a short tutorial on annuity e-App.  It opens best in Chrome or Firefox.

Excerpts from John Gitomer's "Dream your way to sales success...all day long".  Did you ever get yelled at by a teacher for daydreaming in class? Of course - we all did.

Daydreaming is a meal ticket for you. It's essential. It's a tool that brings thoughts to the surface - something you want, something you want to change, something you want to achieve, something you want to improve, something you want to accomplish, something you want to come true or something you're thinking about that you want an answer to. Here's how the process can work for you, step-by-step. The daydream must be acted upon.

Daydream. Pick a place of quiet. Have paper and pen with you.
Think general, then specific thoughts. Begin generating thoughts, any thoughts that pop in your mind at first. then go to specific areas of wonderment - family, job, career, future, health, achievement.
Think. Is this what I really want?
Idea. Write down the thoughts that have become ideas or actionable intentions.
Think. How can I make this happen?
Make a written goal. But, state your intentions and desire.
Make a written plan. This is how I can make this dream a reality.
Action. Doing something is the way of achieving for yourself. Action is another word for work.
Daydream your way to reality. Picture yourself achieving your dream, and celebrating by carving out more daydream time.

All you need to do is employ the three critical words: Think. Write. Act.
And, beware of the dream killers: Doubt. Whine. Excuses.
