Gain new skills for ministry
The Hudson Conference has created a tradition of having at least one educational event per year. At the recent Synod Assembly, Pr. Daniel Ward spoke of how Leadership Development Grants have allowed their conference to bring in outside speakers for these events. "Only in the gifting of the Leadership Grants was it possible for someone like Dr. Timothy Wengert to offer his expertise and experience... Without the grant we simply didn't have the necessary funds in our conference checking account to cover these events."
Twenty-five Leadership Development Grants have been awarded since its inception--How might you gain new skills for ministry in our changing world? Learn more and download an updated application here.

Love is love
"Orlando calls us to another way. Call it the way of the cross," preached Bishop Rimbo at a synod-wide prayer service last Friday. "It is time for us in the Church to take on the suffering of the Queer Community, of the Latino/Latina Community, to take on the suffering of all whose lives matter, to take it on in the name of Love, in the Name of Jesus." Where does this assembly leave us?
Our 2016 Synod Assembly set the stage for the work ahead with racial justice. Participants went through the three days in an extended worship service filled with prayers, testimonies, and opportunities for a widening understanding of our participation in God's work. Rather than simply tell you, we wanted to show you just some of the things that happened at our assembly and marked it as a significant time in our ministry together. View the assembly recap video and resources here.
