Where does this assembly leave us?
Our 2016 Synod Assembly set the stage for the work ahead with racial justice. Participants went through the three days in an extended worship service filled with prayers, testimonies, and opportunities for a widening understanding of our participation in God's work. Rather than simply tell you, we wanted to show you just some of the things that happened at our assembly and marked it as a significant time in our ministry together. Join us for a Prayer Service to be with each other and God on June 24, 6:00pm at St. John's, Manhattan, near the Stonewall Inn. What are you?
"I'm Afro-Latina, and that comes with a lot of baggage and a lot of pride. I know that some of my ancestors bought others or were sold, or their land was stolen. Then together they all built continents with blood, sweat, and tears. And so, I have a painful and beautiful legacy to continue." Read the full blog post here.
