Grande Mardi Gras Parade
Over 100 parade entries rolled through the spirited village filled with over ten thousand revelers. One-half million beads, MoonPies and doubloons were thrown from the colorful krewes. The parade route stretched the new Destin Boardwalk along the Destin Harbor from AJ's Seafood and Oyster Bar to the west end of HarborWalk Village. Steve and Wendy Wilson, owners of the Buccaneer Pirate Ship and Southern Star Dolphin Cruise, were honored as this year's parade King and Queen. "We are ecstatic with the enthusiastic participation from the local community" said Jamie Hall, Marketing Director for HarborWalk Village. "Our goal was to secure 100 float participants and to raise much needed funds for Destin Harvest. We exceeded our goal."
The epic week-long street festival continues on Fat Tuesday featuring live music, stilt walkers, jugglers, balloon artists, concerts, dining, dancing and family fun. Revelers can make carnival masks, march to brass bands and catch handfuls of colorful beads at the FREE celebration.

About Destin Harvest
Destin Harvest non-profit network operating in Northwest Florida that picks up the donated food and takes it to the social service agencies serving the people who need it. Destin Harvest provides good food to the hungry of the Florida Panhandle. Every day thousands of Floridians go hungry. Some are sick, or unemployed, or homeless. Many are elderly. Many are in working families. Destin Harvest delivers the wholesome food immediately to agencies feeding those in need. The goal of Destin Harvest is to complement all of the existing hunger programs. Our objective is to deliver food to all of the approved emergency feeding programs throughout the Northwest Florida area.
