On December 15, 2012, HarborWalk Village and Destin Nights hosted a spirited night of fun, The
6th Annual Santa Pub Crawl to benefit the Salvation Army. The event topped previous attendance records with over 700 "crawlers" in wild and colorful costumes, raising an estimated $5,000 for Salvation Army. Stops included Poppy's Crazy Lobster, Jester's Mardi Gras Daiquiris, Crab Island Cantina, La Famiglia, Harry T's. Harry T's contributed $1,250 through donations and drink features.
Racy reindeer, charming elves and cute candy canes marched, danced and celebrated their way through the village. The Village Brass Band led "crawlers" as a stilt walker and other live performance artists filled the night air with energy. Nick Jamroz and Bobby Bess lead these events and hope to continue to grow the Destin Nights' activities. Nick Jamroz reflected "Thanks to hundreds that came out. Great costumes and extreme generosity. This has dwarfed anything we've ever done!"
The next pub crawl is February 8th, 2012.
