(VIDEO) Healthier Community Pantry opens to Columbiana County residents

COLUMBIANA COUNTY - 
It's a stop Scott Ingram of East Liverpool has been making the last three months. He travels to Lisbon to gather much needed food at the Healthier Community Pantry.

"They are giving burger, cheese, venison.  I mean it is really a nice pantry to come to.  It is like a little miniature store in there," said Ingram.

Thanks to a $524,000 Healthier Buckeye Grant that was secured by three agencies in Columbiana County, residents are able to pick up items that will help them at home.  Since October, more than 900 people have come through the line gathering non-perishables and meat, even pet food... Read more.
Students from TCTC bring robots to children at TCAP Head Start

TRUMBULL COUNTY - Five-year-olds Mariah Claecy and Zion Henderson were both excited to use remote controls to get several robots to move across the floor at the Trumbull Community Action Program on Thursday.

The two students were among more than 100 children ages 3 to 5 who attend the TCAP Head Start programs who spent part of their day learning about technology and engineering with a visit from more than 20 students in the engineering program at Trumbull Career and Technical Center... Read more.

(VIDEO) Building a Legacy Part One: Community Action Partnership of the Greater Dayton Area
OACAA recently released Part One of the Building a Legacy Project. The video series will collect stories from each Community Action Agency in Ohio through interviews with directors, board members, community members, current and former staff, clients and more to highlight successes, challenges, and triumphs over the past 50+ years.

We hope you will enjoy Part One featuring Community Action Partnership of the Greater Dayton Area. Stay tuned for videos featuring IMPACT CAA, Highland County CAO, CAC of Fayette County, and CAC of Portage County, which are slated to be released in 2017.
