The Community Action Agency Network is made up of more than 1,100 local, private, non-profit and public agencies, created through the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964. 

Ohio is made up of 48 agencies serving all 88 counties in the state.

Community Action Keeps Kids Warm
For the second consecutive year, Jackson-Vinton County Community Action, Inc. (JVCAI) has provided hundreds of brand new coats to low-income children to keep them warm. The program, which was made possible by the Governor's Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives in partnership with the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services and the Ohio Association of Community Action Agencies (OACAA), has already provided 290 coats to area children with more still available.... Read more

Lancaster-Fairfield CAA celebrates the opening of Pearl House

FAIRFIELD COUNTY - It was standing room only at 218 W. Chestnut St. in Lancaster for the Pearl House ribbon cutting on December 5, 2014.  Pearl House, a project by Lancaster-Fairfield Community Action Agency (LFCAA) in partnership with The Recovery Center and Fairfield Homes, is the first supportive housing project in Fairfield County. The building is located just south of downtown Lancaster and provides 21 two-bedroom units which will serve homeless families in recovery... Read more
Family Medical Centers recognized nationally
LAWRENCE COUNTY - The seven Family Medical Centers in Lawrence County have been named a national quality leader by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, according to a news release. The recognition was awarded to only 57 of 1,113 health centers nationwide... Read more
