Ohio University and the Ohio Association of Community Action agencies have released a research study entitled Community Action Agencies: Strengthening Ohio's Communities. The study was conducted by Ohio University's Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs and reports how Community Action Agencies' contribute to their community's economic development through various programs and initiatives. HomeLifeline, the Community Action Agency in Lake County, has rolled out a new transitional housing program. The Supportive Housing Program will help low-income residents of Lake County achieve self-sufficiency while providing supported housing assistance.

MYCAP Hosts Weatherization Day

 

MYCAP Weatherization Day On October 25, the Mahoning Youngstown Community Action Partnership (MYCAP) hosted a Weatherization Day. Although the temperatures were unseasonably warm that day, reaching 80 degrees, residents of Mahoning County learned how to prepare for the cold temperatures to come.
