Though we're starting the year on a chilly note, things are happening at Knowledge Edge! In addition to our Study Skills workshops which are offered each week, we have the following FREE opportunities.

FREE ACT PRACTICE TEST

Saturday, February 7th at Noon. Discover your baseline score and prepare for the upcoming March, April and June ACT's.

FREE JUNIOR FUN NIGHT

Friday, February 27th at 7:00pm. We will have food and play trivia/strategy games to help you get ready for the March ACT Test.

FREE COLLEGE INFO PLANNING NIGHT - Tuesday, March 10th at 7:00pm. Let Tom Tonneson of CAPs guide you through the college admission process.

I have three children at KE. A 5th grader who has done the Math, Reading and Writing programs. An 8th grader, who is a very good student but was struggling with math. We really like how KE assesses the child first - so rather than spending time on skills they already understand - the focus is put on the areas where the child struggles. With the help of KE she has been able to strengthen her foundation in math and is currently earning an A. Lastly, my junior went to KE for their 40 hour ACT program. She just received her scores and got a 34. I think the real key to success at KE is that the tutors meet the children where they are and create a specialized program for each individual rather than just going through the standard pieces of the program. They do not waste time drilling areas that the children already understand. I can also tell you in all honestly that my children have never complained about going to KE. I think they can see the improvements being made academically, their self-esteem is increasing and with the use of tokens and prizes - although this is rarely the focus - it's made to be fun!
