Greetings!
Best wishes for a great school year!
Knowledge Edge wants your student to have his or her best year ever!
We can help. Before your child becomes frustrated and a quarter or trimester goes by, we can do a diagnostic assessment and design a program to keep your student on track!
Or, build your student's study skills in a small group setting or individually.
Knowledge Edge will offer a free practice ACT or SAT on Saturday, October 26. If your junior takes the PSAT-NMSQT test in October and would like a baseline ACT before starting prep, this is a great opportunity to do it.
Specific homework assignments can present challenges even for the best students from time to time. Our talented tutors can give your student the Homework Edge--help on a specific assignment that will make the difference.
We look forward to helping your student have a great year!

A New School Year Brings New Challenges--Academic and Emotional
Raising kids is dealing with a moving target...their needs, friends and moods are often changing. As parents we do all we can to support them and help them to develop the skills they will need to be successful adults.
Not surprisingly, a student's emotional well-being affects their learning. The attached article discusses the changing needs of students from elementary through high school and shares suggestions for parents to help stay ahead of the curve. Click here to check it out!

Work Smarter: Study Skills for Middle School and High School Students
The Knowledge Edge Study Skills program has been very successful and may be the key to helping your student work SMARTER. Topics covered include organization/time management, test preparation; note-taking curing lectures, from texts and other sources, and reading and mnemonic devices. Students can do the Study Skills program in a small group, or work individually with a tutor and use their own assignments to practice skills during a Study Skills session. If this sounds like the right solution for your student, call or email for more information! |
Knowledge Edge at CHS and GHS
Again this year we are pleased to partner with Cedarburg High School and Grafton High School to administer a practice ACT to all junior students in mid-October. Having an opportunity to take a practice test provides an important experience for students and gives students and parents the opportunity for valuable feedback.
If your junior attends high school in either district, you can expect information to be sent home from Knowledge Edge with test results. We encourage you to follow up with us to receive more detail on your student's results and learn how a prep program can make a difference.
