Dear Friends,
With the arrival of autumn this weekend, we're beginning to see the first of our seasonal friends return to Naples. That can only mean that the 2012-13 Season is not far away!
As you know, this season marks an historic point in the story of Opera Naples. In December we will partner with our friends at the Philharmonic Center for the Arts, and the first Opera Naples production will be seen on that stage, realizing a dream long held by many who have been with us since the beginning eight years ago.
Puccini's Tosca will feature a cast and creative team of world- renown, set against a beautiful production from Seattle Opera. The Naples Philharmonic, led by Metropolitan Opera regular Paul Nadler, will bring this electric score to life. And the famous "Te Deum" scene at the end of Act One will bring nearly one hundred people on stage in a glorious celebration of this community-based cultural organization.
We know we will have great art on the stage. We ask you now to step forward, and commit yourselves to the next triumph of Opera Naples, by purchasing tickets to a performance of Tosca today. There can be no stronger endorsement of our importance to Naples than the fevered shouts of "Bravi!" from capacity crowds at the Phil at the conclusion of each show!
If you have already purchased your tickets for Tosca, we thank you, and hope you will spread the word of this important debut to others. If you have not yet bought your tickets, we sincerely encourage you to do so, and play your part in the success and growth of Opera Naples.
Sincerely yours,
Steffanie Pearce Tom Smith Founding Artistic Director Executive Director & CEO P.S. Our entire 2012-13 Season is now on sale! Click on the link below to view our brochure, and make your plans to join us all season long! |
