Dear Friends,

We join our colleagues at the ArtsNaples World Festival this week in celebrating all things Russian. The Festival has enjoyed exciting performances and terrific crowds that have chosen to "Stay in May" to experience this cultural tour de force. The final preparations are at hand for our concert performance of Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin, presented this Thursday at The Philharmonic Center for the Arts.  See the information below for the best way to order tickets to this one-night-only event.

There are plenty of activities to enjoy in June and July as well, including performances by participants in our summer youth program, which holds its auditions this Saturday, May 19. If you know a young singer aged 15-25 who would like to participate in this unique creative opportunity, please pass this newsletter along so they can be a part of the show!

We'll be wrapping up our fiscal year in about six weeks, and there is still time to contribute to this year's annual campaign to show your support for Opera Naples. Every dollar helps to make your opera company financially stable, which fuels our artistic growth. Call the office to make your donation by credit card, or mail your check by June 30 to our office at the address below. We thank you!

Sincerely,

Performed in Russian with English supertitles, the concert version and extraordinary cast engulfs you in all the emotions of an impassioned love unceremoniously spurned, creating a series of events culminating in a chilling duel between friends.

Maestro Vladimir Lande conducts the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra in the sumptuous orchestrations of this masterpiece opera.
Eugene Onegin is produced in collaboration with Opera Naples, Southwest Florida's professional opera company. Don't miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to savor an unforgettable journey through Russia's distinctive culture.

To purchase tickets, call the Philharmonic box office at 239-597.1900 or visit http://www.thephil.org/.
