Dear Friends, Another "Season" has just about come and gone here in Paradise, but we remain active at Opera Naples! As you will see below, there are still many wonderful opportunities to enjoy opera and other great art in the months ahead, including our concert presentation of Eugene Onegin as part of the ArtsNaples World Festival, and a Gilbert and Sullivan classic presented by the participants in our summer youth program. We hope you will join us for both!
Plans are in the works for the 2012-13 Season, as we strive to present a schedule that provides both beloved classics and potential new titles to the Opera Naples repertoire. We anticipate announcing the new season soon, and look forward to having you as part of our audience for another year of thrilling opera.
You can also play a starring role in our financial performance by making a pledge of support to our annual campaign during this last quarter of our fiscal year (June 30). Opera Naples has grown and achieved ever higher levels of artistic achievement because of your contributions, and as we look ahead toward our next season, they become more important than ever. You may call our office to make a donation, or mail your check to us at 2408 Linwood, Naples, FL 34112. Better yet, come by and drop it off - we'd love to see you!
For those of our friends who are heading north, we wish you safe travels and a pleasant summer. For those of you who stay here with us, we look forward to seeing you at a variety of activities through the summer and fall. Thank you all for your support of Opera Naples - Southwest Florida's professional opera company.

AN EVENING WITH PATRICIA RACETTE RAISES $50,000 FOR OPERA NAPLES!
On March 16, nearly three hundred opera lovers gathered at Moorings Presbyterian Church to enjoy good wine and great music, and to raise funds for Opera Naples. Following a reception and a fantastic silent and live auction (which featured spirited bidding for a walk-on super role in our upcoming production of Tosca at The Phil), the crowd was treated to a stunning concert by Metropolitan Opera superstar, Patricia Racette. Patricia performed some of opera's most beloved arias, plus cabaret standards that brought a tear to more than one eye. She also graciously led a master class the following day at FGCU's Bower School of Music, where she provided four young singers with invaluable musical instruction.
