 Connected
According to the Federal Trade Commission, in 2010, the number of electronic devices like laptops, smart phones, appliances, etc,, that are "online" was more than the world's population. Even more devices are connected now, and it doesn't seem to be slowing down. In just the next 4 years, the FTC expects that 50 billion devices and objects will be "connected online." I'm not sure how many devices I will personally own that will be connected by then, but I'll have my share. Just as a point of reference, the globe's population is now 7.3 billion.
