Money 101
MARCH 23, 2013
Howdy!
Gary Silverman, CFP
Spring has sprung (well, according to the calendar)! I hope you all enjoy the end of winter. My thoughts are still on a  traditional winter sport, however--curling. You can read a bit about that below.

Our next newsletter will not arrive until after Easter, so I will use the time I have now to wish you and yours a happy and blessed Easter holiday!

Have a great week.

--Gary
Gary's Soapbox: Curling in Dallas!

Back in February I took part in the Steers and Beers Bonspiel: the curling tournament in Dallas. The DFW Curling Club  is my "home" on ice, though I don't get to travel there too much. Our team was made up of folks who didn't have a team. From left to right there's me (the old guy and worst player), Dakota (a college student, and our skip), Allison (a member of the San Francisco curling club, but currently residing in New Mexico), and Louis (pronounced Louie, a native of Scotland, but currently working in New Orleans). I'm not sure you could have put together a more diverse group.

Of the three games we played, we came about as close as you can to winning two of them, but were only physically present in the other one. Although our 0-3 record did not earn us a trophy,  we all had a great time. Not only did I make three new friends,  it was curling--which is, after all, a good thing.   --Gary
