District 1 Roads Update

Arlington Area

  • Bridge #311, over Portage Creek on 43rd Ave NE/Cemetery Rd between 204th St NE and 47th Ave NE (Arlington area)
     
    FULL ROAD CLOSURE coming 7am, June 17 - 5pm June 28. Traffic will not return to normal working order until the project is completed. Snohomish County Road Maintenance will replace the approaches to the structure and stage equipment on the roadway during the pile driving operations. The detour traffic signs will be posted.   • Jim Creek Rd, between 133rd Ave NE and Hwy 530 (Arlington area)
     
    A FULL ROAD CLOSURE will be in effect beginning 6:30am, July 8 - 5pm, July 22. Snohomish County Road Maintenance will replace a cross culvert in conjunction with SNOCO DPW - Jim Creek Culvert Replacement Project. 2013 Mini-hydroplane race schedule. Hydroplanes race on the South Lake. Anglers are asked to fish from the bank only while races are in 16324 Twin Lake
session.

  • Fishing on the North Lake limited to those 14 years of age and under. Fishing restricted to "Bank Fishing" on the South Lake during scheduled Model Boat Events.Note: Adults (15 years and older) who wish to fish must use the South Lake with a valid fishing license. Fishing on the North Lake is reserved for juveniles (14 years and under).

Sunbathe or picnic at either one of two sandy beaches located at the Twin Lakes. Boating, paddling and other water activities are also popular, although fishing is a popular use of this park. Fish year-round in the natural spring-fed lakes. The northern lake is designated for juvenile fishing, while the southern is open with a valid fishing license. The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife normally stocks the south lake with rainbow trout Mid-March, late April, early May and Late May. In addition, two local fishing clubs cooperatively stock the north pond late May. Blue gill and channel catfish can also be caught.

 

Exit 206 off I-5 north of Marysville; turn west onto 172nd St NE; 1/4 mile to 27th Ave NE; left onto 27th Ave NE to 169th St NE; left onto 169th St NE; bear right; one mile to park entrance.
