Darlington welcomes new teaching artists Call to schedule a trial lesson! |
Elivi Varga (flute) has taught students of all ages and levels for over fifteen years in conjunction with her extensive studies in flute performance (D.M.A. Flute Performance and Literature, University of Illionis). Her positive and nurturing approach to teaching provides a fun and encouraging environment for each student.
Bette Halberg (piano) joins us all the way from Florida, where her warm disposition and technical expertise has inspired many students throughout the years. Bette earned her B.M. Music Education in Piano and her M.A. Music from Florida State University and has performed as a pianist/organist for many years. She currently teaches at Darlington on Saturdays and is a freelance pianist throughout the area.
Jeremy Harting (guitar) also teaches at Darlington on the weekends and is now accepting new students! His prestigious background includes a D.M. Guitar Performance (Indiana University) and a M.M. from Yale, where he taught lessons and earned the Eliot Fisk Prize for outstanding achievement. Jeremy has significant experience teaching pre-college, undergraduate, and graduate level students and performs regularly on classical guitar, mandolin, and electric guitar.
Julienne Ikegami (violin) is a recent graduate of Temple University (M.M. String Pedagogy, B.M. Violin Performance) who couples her extensive, international performance experience with an inclusive approach, teaching students from young children to senior citizens. As a member of the Temple University Symphony Orchestra, she has performed at the Kimmel Center, Lincoln Center, and Carnegie Hall.
