The Rhythm of a Youth Pastor

The Youth Pastor's Connection is a great time to meet with other NWC youth pastors who understand why you willingly sleep on a gym floor, eat mediocre pizza, deal with cranky parents and won't mock you for owning five different Nerf blasters. We meet once a month during the school year (except December) to connect with each other, to pray for each other, to learn and to be encouraged.
 
The YPC kick-off is Thursday, 9/15, from 12-3 p.m. Bring your lunch, invite a new NWC youth pastor (there are a lot this year!) and meet us at Salem Covenant, 2655 5th St. NW, New Brighton, MN 55112 .
 
 
Our guest speaker is Brian Aaby, Director of Youth Specialties' Coaching and YS Search. He's speaking about, "The Rhythm of a Youth Pastor." Whether it comes to planning, working with parents, or your own soul care, there are identifiable ministry rhythms and practices to put in place to help you thrive in ministry.
 
Other Connection dates are Oct. 27 (a week later due to MEA), Nov. 17, Jan. 19, Feb. 16, March 16, April 20, and May 18.

Solid Rock to host free seminar: 'Boundaries in Ministry' with Kersten, Lawson

Solid Rock School of Discipleship at Lake Beauty Bible Camp will host "Boundaries in Ministry," a seminar addressing appropriate professional and personal boundaries, Thursday, Sept. 29 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event is for "all those serving in ministry, whether for one year or 31 years.

The seminar will be co-led by the Rev. David Kersten, Dean of North Park Theological Seminary, and the Rev. Carol Lawson, Director of Ministry Services for Develop Leaders, Evangelical Covenant Church.

Recharge 2017 - Twin Cities, Jan. 7

This is a great one-day youth ministry & children's ministry leadership training event. It's a national caliber conference for a fraction of the price. Early bird pricing is available starting in October.

ECC Youth Workers Connection - Jan. 27-29

This year we're in Louisville! Youth Worker Connection is a unique event designed specifically for Covenant youth pastors, workers and volunteers. We will spend time focusing on the future of youth ministry in the Evangelical Covenant Church, as well as be inspired by some of the most significant voices in youth ministry today.
 
MOVE - March 31 - April 1

MOVE (Mission Outreach Venture and Experience) is March 31-April 1. It's two days of learning, serving and experiencing an urban environment for Northwest Conference high school students and leaders. More details to come.
