College and Young Adult Ministry with Andy Abramson
 
Does youth ministry end when our students graduate from high school? Ben Kerns just wrote about this challenge in his blog post, "Youth Ministry Discipleship: The finish line has changed" ( AverageYouthMinistry.com). If you're pondering how to reach people post-high school, come hear Andy Abramson this Thursday at Salem Covenant in New Brighton, Noon - 3 p.m.
 
Andy Abramson comes highly recommended by a number of our youth pastors. He is the founder and lead visionary for Verge Ministries. Verge Ministries is a national network of college-age/young adult ministries that's purpose is to empower, equip and train leaders in their local context to reach and disciple 18-20somethings. Currently Verge is partnered with 32 different ministries in 12 states around the U.S. Andy resides in Brainerd, MN, with his wife Jenn and five kids.
 
Bring your corned beef and cabbage and non-alcoholic Guinness. A gold star if you wear green. 
 
Spring Connection dates:

April 21 - Understanding the Old Testament in an Afternoon with Jennifer Scott from Bethel University

May 24 (note date change) - Tuesday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.!! All the Connections are gathering for one massive end-of-the-year celebration! Special guest storyteller, comedian, writer Bob Stromberg on "Mastering the Craft of Story Illustrations."

Adventures in Leadership

Who is the student in your ministry that the other students look to for leadership? Nominate that person (or two) for Adventures in Leadership, the NWC's transformational, weeklong leadership development experience.

AIL is for select high school students (completing grades 9-11) and is based at Adventurous Christians camp. It's a powerful time of exploring Christian leadership principles and putting them into practice, all in a guided, challenging environment. Information and materials are available on our AIL 2016 page.
