Pray for students and leaders coming to MOVE 2015

The final touches are being put on the plans for MOVE 2015, coming to Minnehaha Academy South Campus this weekend. Please pray for the many students and leaders converging on the Twin Cities, and remember to pray for the team planning MOVE, the speakers, worship team and all the behind the scenes volunteers that make this awesome event possible!

Spiritual direction opportunities

The Northwest Conference Spiritual Directors Network offers all pastors and their spouses an opportunity for spiritual direction when we gather for the Ministerial meeting. We welcome you to experience spiritual direction for the first time and/or to sit with a spiritual director as he/she guides you in discerning God's direction for a specific concern or decision. You can sign up for a session when you check in at the registration area.

Covenant Pines Ministries Executive Director search update

The Covenant Pines Ministries Search Committee, which was charged by the Board of Directors with finding an Executive Director, has vetted and interviewed a number of applicants over the last several months. After much prayer, careful consideration and numerous discussions, there are two candidates we have identified for a third round of interviews.

These interviews will happen this month. Out of this round, the committee is anticipating making recommendation and presentation of a candidate to the Board of Directors by early May 2015. Continue to pray for us as we approach these final stages of discernment regarding the next Executive Director.

Youth Ministry

Did you go to CHIC?

As a CHIC alumni, you know how God works in high school students' lives at this triennial Covenant event. Would you help a teenager get to CHIC? It's expensive. $649 for registration + $205 for transportation makes it a challenge for a number of our kids.

We want to raise enough money to fund 100 $100 scholarships to invest in students who desperately want to go but can't quite afford it. This CHIC, we're planning on over 1,500 people from the Northwest Conference alone. Please partner with us to get each kid who wants to go to CHIC to CHIC. Every dollar helps us reach our goal.
