Youth Pastor's Connection - Nov. 20

Youth Pastor as Therapist - how do you handle the part of your job where you're called on to be a counselor or therapist?

Michelle Bielby, former Covenant youth pastor now a licensed marriage and family therapist, will discuss how you navigate the relationship between the church and the mental health field, what issues she's seeing among adolescents and their families, with some fascinating neuro-science research thrown in. CHIC Scholarships

The Northwest Conference currently has ten $150 scholarships to give to students who need extra financial help in getting to CHIC. Applications for CHIC scholarships are at http://northwestconference.org/chic-2015

CHIC Transportation

Ride the NWC bus to CHIC for only $205! A deposit of $100 is due March 1 for each rider. There are also a limited number of transportation scholarships for those riding NWC busses. For more info: http://northwestconference.org/chic-2015-bus-info

Recharge 2015 - Early bird registration ends Saturday, Nov. 15

This one-day amazing youth ministry & children's ministry leadership training event is designed for both paid and volunteer leaders. The general session speaker is Jonathon McKee, author of Get Your Teenager Talking, the 10-Minute Talks series, and The Zombie Apocalypse Survival Guide for Teenagers.

There are tons of great seminars and lunch with other NWC youth and children's leaders. The NWC has been part of the planning team for Recharge since it started in 2006. Recharge takes place in the Twin Cities on Jan. 10 or Fargo on Jan. 24. For more info on Recharge, visit ministryrecharge.com

MOVE - April 10-11, 2015

MOVE (Mission Outreach Venture and Experience) is April 10-11. It's 2 days of learning, serving and experiencing an urban environment for high school students. More details to come.
