Youth Pastor's Connection - Oct. 23 at Salem Covenant

In November, Michelle Bielby, therapist and former Covenant youth pastor will be with us.

The Connection is a great time to meet with other youth pastors. We meet once a month during the school year (except December) to connect with each other, to pray for each other, to learn and to be encouraged. Other meeting dates are Nov. 20, Jan. 15, Feb. 19, March 19, April 16 and May 21.

Special Gathering for Twin Cities youth pastors:

At 11 a.m., ahead of the Youth Pastor Connection, youth pastors from Covenant Pines churches will gather to meet with Holly Larson, Covenant Pines Program Director.

Come for coffee with Holly and join a conversation about deeper collaborations between Covenant Pines and owner churches' youth ministries. Camp is such a blessing to our churches and students, and we're going to explore creative ways to make this partnership even more effective. Questions? Contact Ben Pease: bpease@salemcov.org

VIVE - Nov. 8

Hope Academy, Minneapolis (www.hopeschool.org) from 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

VIVE logo This free event is for students who are the first in their family to go to college or for those who are typically under-represented in colleges. And did you know that VIVE participants get a $500 grant if they decide to go to North Park University?

VIVE is designed for middle school & high school students, as well as their parents.

Our speaker is James Barnett (Minnehaha graduate and principal of Minneapolis College Prep). Worship will be led by Urban Jerusalem (remember them from MOVE?). There will be practical seminars on choosing a college, ACT prep, writing a college essay, financial aid. Besides North Park University, a number of local colleges will have representatives there to meet with students and their parents.
